The Youth 4 Youth project is an international partnership that aimed to use the training methodologies of Community Reporting and Theatre of the Oppressed to explore the topic of early school leaving with young people at-risk of exclusion from mainstream school.

Our Role

People’s Voice Media worked with our Social Licensee, GMYN, to use our Community Reporting methodology in the UK with around 50 young people, teachers and school support staff to enable them to share their stories. The stories they told were around themes such as thoughts on mainstream education in the UK, things they enjoyed about school and things they would change, and experiences of leaving school early. The findings from the project and these stories were collated into a booklet and shared throughout the partnership’s networks.
