#SharingHealth4U is a small-scale, rapid testing co-production process that has worked with residents from different ethnic communities across Hulme, Moss Side and Rusholme to create and disseminate accurate flu vaccine health messages. The project has also looked at the impact of such work and seek to create a practice, develop a set of relationships and build expertise that can be used in the future for other health messaging campaigns.
Our Role
People’s Voice Media worked with residents and health care professionals to create short health messages – text, audio and video – around the flu vaccine. These have include short personal stories, ‘myth busters’ and signposting to further information. The messages have been recorded in a range of languages including Arabic, Bengali and French and have been sent out via WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, e-mailers and much more. The project culminates with an evaluation that looks at the effectiveness of grassroots methods in spreading accurate health messages.
