Laura has over 20 years’ experience of working in development roles in the voluntary and community sector. She is also a qualitative researcher, who has worked on many peer and co-produced research projects and is a Community Reporter. Laura holds an MA in Disability Studies, brings lived experience expertise of health and social care services and has significant experience in not-for-profit governance. She is a committed promoter of co-production, self-advocacy and equitable research practice.

As a Trustee of People’s Voice Media, Laura is a member of the Systemic Racism Board sub-group, where she helps to drive forward our approach to be an actively anti-racist organisation. She also provides valuable input at Board level on good governance practices and brings direct experience of peer research and advocacy to our work.
