Overview:

EUARENAS explored cities as arenas of political innovation and examined how they can strengthen deliberative and participatory democracy at a city-level. This mixed-methodological research project was a European partnership between academia, local government and citizen-focused NGOs.

People’s Voice Media led a Foresight work package that used participatory future-thinking techniques to support citizens and stakeholders in cities across Europe to hypothesise over future trends in democracy and create visions for democracy in their city and across Europe. Our team also support research teams to adopt Community Reporting as a research method that examined participatory and deliberative democracy case studies from a citizen’s perspective.
