Working with you
Community Reporter Programme
Everyone has something to say about where they live, what they're experiencing, and what they want to see happen.
Our Community Reporter Programme gives people a platform to have a voice and challenge perceptions about their communities and the opportunity to describe their own reality.
The main features of the programme include:
- A flexible learner-centred training programme leading to self-managed groups supporting on-going engagement
- Using co-production techniques as a way of giving voice to communities, creating "good news" stories and supporting peer to peer learning
- A range of 'soft skills' such as improved communication, confidence and interview skills
- Focus on Best Practice elements, including good understanding of Editorial Guidelines, consent and copyright
- Teaching core social media skills such as photography, podcasting and film making using 'technology in the pocket' devices.
- Content distribution through the communityreporter.co.uk website and other social networks
- Accrediting skills gained through our Community Reporter badge scheme
- Either a 12 day programme or 'lighter' module based programme
Community Reporter Social Licence

We are now offering the Community Reporter programme to organisations to run under social licence. The offer comprises:
- a full training pack of materials and a Train the Trainer programme so that you can deliver the training ‘off the peg’.
- the development of an income generation strategy that is a ‘best fit’ for your organisation and explores how you can make the licence work for you financially either by adding value to your existing services or expanding into new markets.
- Invitations to biannual Editorial Board meetings for partners creating opportunities for sharing ideas and business across the European wide network.
