Education and Training Services
People's Voice Media undertakes a variety of training based at our Social Media Centres and other community venues. This training consists of
- ICT drop in
- Specialist media activities including community radio
- Level 1 training in ICT and Media
- Community Reporters programme
People's Voice Media has worked to support over 12,000 people back into education or employment over the last 7 years. These have included:
- workless residents
- people on benefit including Incapacity Benefit
- Older people and younger people
We work out of community centres in a variety of settings. This can include Children's Centres, Healthy Living Centres, Community Centres, Faith Buildings and our Social Media Centres. We have managed and delivered on PCDL contracts, Learning and Skills contracts as well as on informal Adult Education and non accredited training contracts and grants. We have a strong relationship with Salford College, The Manchester College and links into Higher Education through the University Of Salford, Manchester Metropolitan University, Sheffield Hallam and the University of Central Lancashire which support our learners to progress onto Further and Higher Education.
